The top 10 things to do in Lincoln after work

Lincoln Castle on a sunny day

Work hard, play hard.

It’s 5pm and you’ve just finished work. Now it’s time to relax, or maybe it’s the weekend and you need a day out. So, what things that you might not have tried are there to do in Lincoln?

The Identity Agency has just moved into our new office in the heart of Lincoln. Since we moved in, I’ve found many activities to relax after work and wanted to share them with you!

So, here are the ‘Top ten things to do in Lincoln after work’ *according to Charlie from the Identity Agency!*

10. Lincoln golf centre

Golf is a great way to socialise with the optional extra of a bit of competition. Not everyone has a full set of golf clubs lying around at home though. Lincoln Golf Centre has a brilliant driving range for you to get the basics down. Very recently Lincoln Golf Centre installed a new top tracer range that tracks your balls on a screen and even lets you play games with friends! It’s one worth checking out.

9. The Arcade Warehouse

Similar to the newly opened Carousel, The Arcade Warehouse focuses on the arcade experience. From classic arcade games such as the Star Wars trilogy, this place is sure to bring back some forgotten memories. Mixing retro with modern technology, there is also a VR system available for you to try!

8. The Brayford Belle

The Brayford Belle tours around the Brayford, offering a tour of England’s oldest inland harbour. Fancying something outside of Lincoln? They also offer a water taxi to The Pywipe Inn and Burton Waters. This definitely isn’t the worst way to get around the City!

7. Carousel

Miss the feeling of being a kid? Carousel has plenty of classic arcade games for you to play whilst having an adult beverage. With alcoholic slushies available you can be sure to have plenty of fun after work. Not only are there classic arcade games available, but also more unique experiences such as quickdraw that offers an immersive shooting simulation.

6. The Little Pottery studio

Sometimes after work you need a place to relax. The Little Pottery Studio provides a creative outlet for you to wind down. Jemma and her team offer a range of pottery and painting classes from beginner to expert. Finding creativity outside of work might help you be more creative as a whole.

5. The Electric Bar

Built on the former electricity works in Lincoln The Electric Bar is sure to get you buzzing after a draining day. With plenty, of cocktails to choose from and a bottomless brunch, it’s the perfect way to relax. Not to forget about the two balconies overlooking the Brayford.

4. The Collection Museum and Usher Gallery

The Collection museum has deep roots in archaeology and displays some of Lincolnshire’s heritage. The Collection Museum is a great way to learn more about Lincoln’s fascinating history. Discovering Lincoln’s history has been one of my favourite things to do in Lincoln since we moved into our new office.

3. International Bomber Command Centre

With stunning views of Lincoln, the International Bomber Command Centre is home to breathtaking history. The Spire sculpture overlooks Lincoln city with a focus on the cathedral which would’ve been the last sighting point for crews flying from Lincolnshire. The food there is great too!

2. The Botanist

Feeling fancy? The Botanist is home to some wacky but amazing drinks. Got an early meeting the next day? That’s okay they have a range of food to choose from! Along with the option for Bottomless drinks, including prosecco and beer if you want to wind down. I’ve got to recommend the salt and pepper pork belly hanging kebab.

1. Everyman Cinema

Located in the newly developed Cornhill quarter the Everyman Cinema offers a change in the cinema experience. From their retro lobby to the dashing bar and balcony. With sofas instead of seats we just couldn’t resist relaxing to a film after work. Not to mention the tasty food they offer! The Philly cheesesteak was my personal favourite. Food, Drink and films after work what more could you want?
