Fun fact: did you know that serif fonts date back to ancient Roman times? In fact, the Trajan font that you have probably seen on a million film posters was inspired by letters carved into Trajan’s Column in Rome, which celebrates Roman emperor Trajan’s victory in the Dacian wars.

Romie Regular

Romie Regular is a classy typeface designed by Margot Lévêque. Inspired by 1960s fashion, Art Nouveau and calligraphy, this font supports over 300 languages. Miller

If you are looking for a traditional serif font but don’t want to resort to anything as generic as Times New Roman, Miller is for you. Created by Matthew Carter of Font Bureau in 1997, Miller is inspired by early 19th-century typefaces used for newspapers and used by some contemporary publications such as the Boston Globe. A fairly narrow typeface, Miller is ideal for using when you need to fit a lot of information into a relatively small space, making it suitable for headlines and other tasks where space is at a premium.

PP Editorial New has an almost retro 90’s feel to it without looking dated, making it a good choice for fashion brands and similar projects. It features a traditional serif style combined with larger curves which become even bolder at heavier weights, adding more interest but retaining legibility.

Monteci

Ssonder expresses this through the connections between the letters. Ssonder would elevate branding, signage and other projects that demand a very stylised, visually stunning font.

Lora is a contemporary font that does not look out of place in more traditional settings, holding its own when compared to the classics like Times New Roman, Baskerville or Garamond.
